It has been quite the year of fear and frustrations for most, but with the New Year, I am seeing quite the shift in everyone’s focus on health and self-care. But what exactly is Holistic Wellness and how can it help?
There are many dimensions with regards to healing, this encompasses the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social realms. Holistic medicine is any medical system that does not use the reductionist approach to the human body. Holistic medicine sees the patient as a whole person and will consider the effects of psychological and social factors on a person’s health.
There has been a strong resurgence of traditional and ancient practices. We are encountering a wave of complementary medicine, one where our team of health care professionals is joining forces to provide protocols using both western medicine and alternative therapies.
Western medicine seems to treat the symptoms, sometimes an isolated area whereas holistic medicine looks at all areas and focuses on the source in order to rehabilitate the areas of concern. But in the end, what alternative therapies are available in our area and what do they provide?
Follow along as I go into detail showcasing all the amazing services that are available in the Windsor/Essex County area.
